FSC Chain of Custody Certification

VonWood is now Chain of Custody FSC Certified

VonWood is proud to announce that it has received the FSC Chain of Custody (CoC) certification.

“FSC chain of custody certification provides a credible assurance that products which are sold with an FSC claim originate from well-managed forests, controlled sources, or reclaimed materials.” - Forest Stewardship Council.

Most important element for the chain of custody certification, is the verification that FSC-certified materials have been identified and separated from ineligible and unacceptable materials as it moves along the supply chain from the forest to the market.

The certification ensures that organisations involved can warrant their commitment to FSC’s requirements.

“Materials used in the FSC chain of custody can come from a variety of sources. While the overwhelming majority comes from FSC-certified forests, the FSC chain of custody requirements also allow the introduction of reclaimed material that would otherwise go to waste, and material that has been assessed as a low risk of coming from unacceptable sources.” - Forest Stewardship Council

VonWood is required to implement the FSC core labour requirements in our operations and we must be able to demonstrate this to external third-party auditors.

‍

To comply with the FSC core labour requirements, we must:

• Not use child labour.
• Eliminate all forms of forced and compulsory labour.
• Ensure that there is no discrimination in employment and occupation.
• Respect freedom of association and the effective right to collective bargaining.
